The Philadelphia Youth Symphonic Band, under the baton of Patrick Bailey, presents “Journeys,” a powerful program that explores adventure, imagination, and heroism through works by Jean-Pierre Haecke, Richard Wagner, Rossano Galante, and John Mackey.
The Philadelphia Youth Jazz Orchestra, led by Justin Faulkner, follows with “Celebrating the Greats: Duke Ellington,” a vibrant tribute to one of jazz’s most legendary composers. Experience Ellington’s timeless genius in selections from The Far East Suite, The Nutcracker Suite, and more, featuring new arrangements that bring classic swing to life.
